
Instructables has a demonstration for DIY instant oatmeal. Stop buying the prepackaged stuff and start saving money. This would be a good way to use the oats you need to rotate out of your food storage.

I think it would be great to use the instant packets for 72 hour kits too.
Shan has been doing this for a few years now. She makes little packets of her quick oats from food storage. Kids love them!!
